~ hardwood floor refinishing ~
Sanding a floor to its natural state starting with a course grit sand paper & progressing to a medium & fine grit paper. Once sanding is done & floor is prepped, we can begin coating if you wish to keep the natural color of your wood floor. If you wish to stain your floor it is recommended that we water pop the floor first to open the pores of your wood. It enhances the color of stain that you chose by allowing the wood to take more evenly & deeper into the wood. Once the floor is stained, allow time to dry & we will begin coating.
~ Floor board repair ~
cutting out broken or damaged floor boards & replacing them with new tongue & groove floor boards. We are very knowledgeable About different wood species & will identify what species of wood you have prior to repair. Of course we are going to stagger your floor boards during a repair.
~ Screen & Coat or maintenance coat ~
When your floors are in fair-good shape but your finish may be dull in some areas you can get a screen & coat. We start this process with a deep cleaning removing any oils that may be in the floor from Cleaning products etc. after the floor dry, we will then lightly sand it with a sanding screen to lightly scuff up the current finish so a new top coat can adhere to the floor.
